Our Villas
We have two villas for rental, Villa Malandrakais and The Honeymoon Suite. They are situated in the town of Hora.
Hora is positioned around the Monastery of St John up in the mountain. It’s about a ten minute drive from Skala, the main port area. Hora is a declared UNESCO site which is surrounded by outstanding beauty
Hora is made up of a labyrinth of picturesque alley ways giving way to two squares. There are also some coffee shops and restaurants as well as a grocer and a butcher.
The town can be confusing for some, since it is made up of narrow pathways and roads which seem to look the same. It was deliberately designed to mislead the pirates who used to invade the island.
It is said that the houses are designed in such a way that upon attack from the pirates you would be able to climb from house to house on the roofs and into the Monastery which was designed as a fortress.
